I had been receiving emails and offers from Precision Fitness for about a year. I was always interested but just couldn’t bring myself to spend more money on weight loss. I had tried just about everything from different eating programs, gyms and home equipment. I decided to take the Back to School Challenge. I was so nervous and self-conscious but I had made up my mind to give my all to the eight week challenge. Surely I could follow an eating plan and go work out three times a week for eight weeks, right?
My story is like so many others. I have been overweight for many years, but this year I reached an all-time high! I was miserable! All the physical aches and pains, no flexibility, sore feet, clothes were too tight. I felt old. I felt weak. My self-esteem was nonexistent. .
I made myself go to the first workout. I actually kept asking myself what I thought I was doing there. I was way out of my league. I couldn’t look at myself in the mirror during the workout. I had to sit out quite a bit of the workout to catch my breath and I couldn’t believe how hard a push up hold was! I don’t think I held it over 10 seconds.
By the end of the second week, by eating right and exercising, I felt so much better about myself. I could make it through entire routines. I saw myself getting stronger, more flexible and becoming self-confident.
So, after three and a half months, I am down 40 pounds. I feel amazing! I know I have a long way to go, but for the first time in a very long time, I am confident that I will reach my goal and keep it off! I have so much energy! I love the workouts, I love feeling the muscles in my arms and shoulders. I appreciate all the support from the trainers and the members, they definitely encourage and push one another. And, I can do a push up hold for one minute.
